Cookie Policy
Last Updated: April 30, 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how Arcio (“we,” “us,” or “our”) uses cookies and similar technologies on getarcio.com (the “Site”). It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.
1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device by websites you visit. They are widely used to make websites work, work more efficiently, and provide reporting information. We also use similar technologies, such as local storage and pixel tags, which are covered by this Policy.
2. Categories of Cookies We Use
We use cookies in the following categories:
- Strictly necessary — required for the Site to function (page caching, basic security, completing a Freemius checkout). These cannot be switched off.
- Performance & analytics — help us understand aggregate Site usage so we can improve content and performance. These are set only with your consent where required by law.
- Functional — remember choices you make, such as dismissing a banner.
We do not use cookies for cross-site advertising, retargeting, or behavioral profiling.
3. Specific Cookies and Technologies
The table below lists the cookies and similar technologies you are most likely to encounter on the Site. Names and durations may change as the underlying tools update; this list is provided in good faith.
| Provider | Cookie / Technology | Purpose | Category | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Google (Site Kit) | _ga, _ga_*, _gid, _gat | Google Analytics — aggregate traffic measurement (property GT-WKPQD645). | Performance & analytics | Up to 14 months |
| Freemius | fs_*, checkout session cookies | Set when you interact with the Pro checkout or pricing modal to keep your cart and complete a transaction securely. | Strictly necessary | Session – 12 months |
| WordPress | wordpress_*, wp-settings-* | Set if you log in to the Site (operator-only) or comment on the blog. | Strictly necessary | Session – 12 months |
| LiteSpeed Cache | _lscache_vary | Server-side caching to deliver pages faster. | Strictly necessary | Session |
| Hostinger Reach | hr_* / local storage | Newsletter subscription block; remembers if you’ve already submitted the form. | Functional | Up to 12 months |
4. Third-Party Cookies
Some cookies above are set by third parties (Google, Freemius, Hostinger). Those parties act as independent controllers for the data they collect and have their own privacy policies:
- Google — policies.google.com/privacy · Google Analytics opt-out
- Freemius — freemius.com/privacy
- Hostinger — hostinger.com/privacy-policy
5. How to Control Cookies
You can control or delete cookies at any time:
- In your browser. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies from settings. See aboutcookies.org for guides.
- Google Analytics. Install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on to prevent your data from being used.
- Do Not Track / GPC. The Site honors valid Global Privacy Control signals where applicable as an opt-out of any “sale” or “sharing” under U.S. state laws (we do not currently sell or share for cross-context advertising).
Blocking strictly necessary cookies may break parts of the Site, including the Pro checkout flow. Blocking analytics cookies has no impact on Site functionality.
6. Cookies Set by the Plugin
The Arcio plugin running on your own WordPress site is separate from this Cookie Policy and does not set tracking cookies on your visitors’ browsers. The Plugin operates within your WordPress admin area only.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the cookies we use or in applicable law. The “Last Updated” date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
8. Contact
If you have questions about our use of cookies, please reach out via our Contact Page.
